Founded in October 2005, DTE Consulting is the vision of Gary Wood, recently retired CIO of Lourdes Hospital, a 389 bed facility located in Paducah, Kentucky. Lourdes is also part of the Catholic Healthcare System, of which Gary was the CIO/Regional Senior Vice President/Operations of the Kentucky/Indiana region. DTE's team includes a combined 60 years of experience in Hospital System Administration, Information Technology Systems, Physician Recruitment, Physician Satisfaction, Medical Quality, Supply Chain Management, and many other mission critical areas.

DTE wants to share their strategic vision and proven successes in implementing effective I/T initiatives that can impact both revenue increases and cost reduction. Our approach is “Down to Earth”, avoiding the traditional “Consultant” approach and becoming a true partner who shares the responsibility of making sure initiatives are successful.

Under Gary's guidance, Lourdes was a benchmark facility for CHP's 32 hospital system, being named a top CHP facility for physician satisfaction in Medical Records (and ranking in the top 10% nationally). In addition, Lourdes has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the top performer among 270 participating hospitals in a nation-wide study for treatment of heart failure. Gary has presented at the HIMSS national conference and has also been a featured speaker for some of the largest IDN's and HIS vendors in the industry.
